Luisa Nuñez - Fashion Designer & Personal Stylist
At an early age of 7 years old I used to cut out pictures of clothes from my mom’s beauty magazines and catalogs to create my own fashion albums. Over time I began to draw my own designs which eventually evolved into the creation of my own fashion line for dolls and stuffed animals. I hand sewed them and reused old T-shirts and pillowcases to create dresses and accessories for them. As a child, this is when I developed a love for fashion.
I am thankful for the guidance of my family when searching for a career. On this journey, I spent 6 years studying, learning, and working in the marketing and communication world. This experience was very valuable because I learned how to communicate and build relationships with clients, develop problem-solving skills, and sell my ideas within advertising agencies.
In pursuit of my ultimate passion for fashion design, I worked up the courage to quit my job and move to Barcelona, Spain to pursue a master’s degree in fashion design at IED (Escola superior de Disseny). Throughout my studies, I discovered the path to my own creative process and learned how to trust my creative intuition.
Traveling throughout Europe during this time inspired me to develop my signature aesthetic which is a combination of my Latin American roots influenced by European architecture and style. Nature, people, landscapes, art, music, and my interactions with European culture have shaped the aesthetic of my designs and personal style.
After finishing my studies in Barcelona I decided to move to the United States to be with my now-husband. We are currently living in Austin, TX.
Through the hardships and blessings of the cultural adjustment process of living in the United States, I have learned to overcome my fears, be more compassionate, listen to others, and most importantly empathize and identify with people and their circumstances.
A few years ago I opened Luisa Nunez: Fashion and Style LLC and I have been blessed to find generous and kind people who have supported me and helped me develop connections.
The services that I offer are shaped to guide people and to inspire them in the choices they make in fashion. I have worked with a variety of clients and profiles from full-time mothers to young professionals
I enjoy taking the time to get to know my clients and their lifestyle in order to customize my services to deliver a result that exceeds my customer’s expectations.
My ultimate goal of working with clients is to experience the joy they feel when they rediscover their sense of style and the happiness they feel looking in the mirror. My favorite part of the process is when the client is standing in front of the mirror and feels empowered and in control of their style. They love how they look.
