Let's style a vintage blazer for spring.

One of my favorite activities to do when I have some free time is to check out my local thrift store or explore a vintage store when I'm traveling.

Last spring, I found this lovely butter yellow vintage blazer made out of wool at Savers.

I haven't worn it since because you know, we were all staying at home.

I am starting to have more events, and the weather in Texas is still a little chilly during the mornings, which is perfect to wear layers.

I saw the blazer in my closet and was inspired by the color, texture, and gold buttons.

I wanted to create a look that wasn't too overdress but more effortless put-together, I-know-what-Im-doing-in-live kind of look.

I decided to pair the blazer with the mom-fit denim shorts I recently bought from Zara. It was the perfect piece to make it more modern and relaxed, plus I love the combination of light blue with yellow.

I completed the look with a white bodysuit from Nordstrom, my favorite heeled square toe sandals from Mango, and accessorize with a gold chunky chain necklace to match the gold buttons.

I ended up loving the final result, and it was perfect for the weather in Austin, which gets to be hotter in the afternoon. I removed the blazer and have a cute summer classic outfit with the bodysuit and denim shorts, plus a fun different detail with the square toe shoes and gold necklace.

Happy Spring!
